West Valley's girl's tennis team struggled last week.

Coming off of a week of victory, the Lady Eagles did their best to defeat opponents Gridley and Yreka, but were unable to make their really close matches go their way.

"We had a rough week. Two tough losses, in matches that could have gone our way just as easy," said Tom Wyrick, West Valley tennis coach. "Cassie DeBonis and Taylor Needham are unshakeable, my rocks of Gibraltar. The other girls are struggling from time to time, but are all working hard to improve their games."

West Valley will be traveling this week, first down to Corning before heading to Anderson to play the Lady Cubs at home.
