When I was 12 I started reading two books one was the bible, which I still read today, the other was a set of encyclopedias. I read through both which of course took several years. One of my favorites in the encyclopedia was the civil war and the person I was fascinated with was Robert E. Lee. They had large picture of him in the book. He had a beautiful face but so full of sadness. I always felt he was a compassionate man and deeply felt the death of his troops. He was a spiritual person and loved his state of Virginia.
