A 38-year-old Anderson man pleaded not guilty Wednesday to child molestation and remains in custody at Shasta County jail in lieu of $300,000 bail.
Earl Edward Wallner, who was arrested Tuesday, is charged with one felony county of continuous sexual abuse and three counts of lewd and lascivious conduct upon a child.
He is due to have a preliminary hearing on Oct. 22.
Wallner is accused of continually molesting a girl, who is now 15, between January 2005 and February 2008, according to the criminal complaint filed by the Shasta County District Attorney's Office.
The four-count complaint also alleges that Wallner performed lewd and lascivious acts upon the child earlier this year.
