The Cottonwood Community Center and Shasta County Supervisor Les Baugh will co-host a community town hall meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the Community Center, 20595 Gas Point Road in Cottonwood.
Topics will include the general plan process, growth, values and priorities, South County emergency preparedness, long-term traffic planning, and Shasta County's Parks Plan.
General questions may be submitted at the event as well.
"The town hall will give interested Cottonwood residents the opportunity to receive first-hand information regarding the future of the South County," stated Community Center Director Mary O'Keefe. "Come early, get to know your neighbors and be a participant in the community process."
Panelists include Shasta County Administrative Officer Larry Lees, Sheriff Tom Bosenko, District Attorney Jerry Benito, Director of Resource Management Russ Mull, Public Works Director Pat Minturn, Regional Transportation and Planning Director Dan Little, Caltrans Project Manager Phil Baker, Cottonwood Fire Protection District Chief Jim Flaherty, Community Center Director Mary O'Keeffe, and District 5 Supervisor Les Baugh.
Baugh urged residents to bring questions for county officials.
