It's time to start planning Christmas for our north state troops. The Christmas for the Troops committee is currently seeking package donations and event sponsors for our Northstate Packaging Project.
We are asking the Far NorCal Community to help us gather the items from a packing list and event sponsors for shipping to send a Christmas package to every deployed soldier, sailor, airman and marine from Butte County to the Oregon border. Our deadline is 16 November 2009. The packaging event will be held Nov. 21, 5 p.m. at Redding Memorial Veterans Hall, 1605 Yuba St. in Redding.
