Cottonwood youths from Keys and Strings Studio will present their first musical production of a Broadway play titled "Dear Edwina."
The play will open at North Cottonwood School beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30. On Saturday, Oct. 31, a matinee will begin at 11 a.m.
The musical is set in a town called Paw Paw, Mich., where local youths spend time together each weekend pretending to put on a television show. On the show, Edwina gives advice to everyone around her. Edwina feels that giving advice is the only thing she is good at doing.
"Dear Edwina is a play within a play," parent Ginger Fowler said.
Becky Browning directs the play and she also teaches tap, ballet and voice at Keys and Strings Studio in Cottonwood. Eighteen youths are taking part in the production.
