Anderson Police Chief Dale Webb receives a plaque from Mayor Butch Schaefer thanking Webb for 30 years of service to the city and citizens of Anderson. The presentation was one of several made Wednesday, Oct. 21, during the city's annual Employee Recognition Barbecue, a meal prepared by city management.
Service awards were presented last week to 11 City of Anderson employees during the city's annual Employee Appreciation Barbecue, held Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the gazebo picnic area in Anderson River Park.
The longest-tenured employee this time around was Police Chief Dale Webb, who received a plaque in recognition of his 30 years of service.
Doug Davis, now retired, and Frank Mojarro were thanked for 25 years of service each, City Manager Dana Shigley noted.
At the 15-year mark in their individual careers are police Sgt. Bryan Van Dyke and Officer Dave Price.
With 10 years each under their belts were Parks and Recreation Director Ken Hartman, Recreation Supervisor Pam Lewis, police Capt. Robert Kirvin and police Sgt. Sean Miller.
Finishing up five years each with the city were Planning Director John Stokes and Robyn Pope Burgess.
Department managers took turns cooking hamburgers, chicken breasts, homemade sausage and antelope for the group. Entertainment was provided by Anderson Police Department's favorite K-9 Officer Nikita.
