Bid from home at KIXE's annual auction

Getaways to the wine country, Lake Tahoe, Palm Springs, Disneyland and San Francisco are just a few of the highlighted attractions that will be up for bid during KIXE's annual Holiday Auction.

Get a jump on your Christmas shopping and support public television in the process by tuning in at 7 p.m. Nov. 5-7. Viewers can shop from the comfort of their home by simply phoning in bids during the three-night live broadcast.

As usual, the auction is packed with merchandise, fine art, gift baskets, tools, hotel stays and gift certificates to north state restaurants, golf courses, salons, health clubs and more.

Other highlighted items include a gift certificate for a living trust/power of attorney package from attorney Roger Cowling; a single or family golf course membership at the Mount Shasta Resort; a season pass for the Diamond Peak Ski Resort at Incline Village; a Go-Go Elite Traveler Mobility Scooter; and a Trek "Lime" 3-speed automatic bicycle.

Savvy shoppers can also bid on tickets to the Moscow Ballet's performance of "The Nutcracker" at the Redding Convention Center, including tickets to an exclusive reception and a chance to meet the company.

Shoppers are welcome to visit www.kixe.org to view a detailed list of auction items and place advance bids. For more information, contact Vickie Shattuck, KIXE's auction coordinator, at 243-5493 or via email at auction@kixe.org
