West Valley and Anderson Union's girl's tennis teams faced off against each other last Thursday. Both teams had difficult losses at the beginning of the week, with the Eagles losing to Corning and the Cubs losing to Central Valley.

"Its difficult watching your child play tennis, because in team sports if a point is scored you think alright its okay, but she's the only one out there, so its hard to watch when a point is scored against her," said TJ Richards about watching his daughter Amanda Richards, a sophomore at West Valley, play.

Though both teams played hard, it was ultimately the Eagles that pulled through to take the match 7-2, winning their single matches, but not quite able to beat the Cubs strong doubles teams.
