Gordon Jerome Forrester

Gordon Jerome Forrester, 95, of Anderson died Tuesday at the Golden Living Center in Redding. Arrangements are pending at Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Anderson (365-5466).

Robert "Bob" P. Hamilton

Robert "Bob" P. Hamilton passed away on September 3, 2009 at the age of 91.

He was born in Nanaimo, BC on April 28, 1918. When he was three years old he moved to Juneau Alaska. He spent a happy childhood there and graduated from Juneau High School in 1939. He came to California and worked his way through college. He was known to his friends as "Alaska". Bob received his degree from San Jose State College and pursued a career in teaching.

His first teaching assignment was in the high school at Hoopa CA. He finished his career at Anderson High School, teaching Math, Biology and Forestry. He received much gratification in helping students succeed in their education, especially those who struggled. He retired in 1982.

Bob was a Boy Scout troop leader and was a member of the Happy Valley Volunteer Fire Dept. "Kojak", as he was known with the firemen, retired as an honorary member.

Bob and his wife Clara loved to travel and visited many friends and family members. He loved life and lived it to its fullest.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Clara, sons Robert Jr. (Meloney), Nolan (Debbie) and daughter Cherie. Grandchildren Jennifer, Christy, Desiree, Andrea, Katie and Summer. Great-grandchildren Donovan, Jacob and Jordan.

Dad "Grandpa" was a loving caring man and a great inspiration to us all. He gave so much of himself to our family. Thank You Dad. We will miss you.

Services will be held at Allen & Dahl 2030 Howard St at Anderson, 11 a.m. Friday September 11, 2009. A celebration of his life will be held at Happy Valley Fire Dept. Cloverdale Station after Services.
