Joe Issac Martinez
Joe Issac Martinez, 91 of Cottonwood, CA passed away peacefully in a circle of his family on September 3, 2009. Born April 18, 1918 in Yellowstone County, Colorado to Beneto and Rita Martinez.
Survived by his wife Mary Alice Martinez children Horace, Carol Ann, Dean, Wanda, Duane, Carol Jean and Leonard Wong. Proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Loving brother to Mally, Dorothy and Geraldine.
Proceeded in death by Millie Martinez and son Robert, siblings Lucy, Matt, Ernesto, Richard, Alfred, Ernie, and Cora.
Joe was a WWII Veteran serving in the U.S. Army and moved from Colorado to Alameda, CA in 1945. Worked as a Teamster and raised his family there until he retired to Cottonwood in 1983 to his farm. He loved his family and enjoyed his farm, animals and fishing.
He is greatly loved by all who knew him.
Services will be held on September 11, 2009, viewing 2-4pm, memorial service 4pm at Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel 2030 Howard Street, Anderson, CA.

Billy Morgan Sr., 82, of Cottonwood died Tuesday at Mercy Medical Center in Redding. Arrangements are pending at Lawncrest Chapel in Redding (222-1587).
