The Anderson Union High School Girls Tennis team had a tough match against Yreka last Thursday and played well even though they were not as successful as they would have liked, with their only two victories coming from Yui Gabriele and Tiffany Bernal.

"Everyone had close matches, but Yui and Tiffany were able to capitalize better on their opponents," said AUHS Coach Peter Gabriele. "We are working with all the girls, and helping them learn how to react in different situations so they can be successful."

According to Gabriele he feels the match was good experience for the Lady Cubs and in a few weeks they'll be more competitive and have more confidence in their playing ability.
