County's SHARE programs funded

Project SHARE (Shasta County Office of Education), in collaboration with Anderson Union High School, Oasis Community School and numerous partnering agencies, has received notification that the High School SHARE 21st Century Community Learning Center proposal has been funded.

Funding totals $430,000 to implement out of school time programming at the school sites. Services will primarily focus on credit recovery, preparation for the California High School Exit Exam, enrichment activities, and a variety of career-technical options.

The program is funded through after school education and Safety Proposition 49, as well as contributions from local businesses and parents. This year, Premier West made a $1500 contribution to our program. The funding will enhance the enrichment activities provided to students in the South County Area.

Additional information or questions may be directed to the Project SHARE office, 245-7830.
