Happy Valley Elementary goes on lockdown during police pursuit

Happy Valley Elementary School went on lockdown Thursday morning when a Sheriff's Deputy's traffic stop off led to a foot chase.

James Fulk, 32, of Happy Valley, exited the vehicle and evaded officers on foot near the Olinda Mobile Home Park off Mary Anne Lane. Fulk is wanted on a felony warrant for drug possession and parole violation.

"It was close to the school so we decided to lock it down," Sergeant Jim Beaupre said.

The school was on lockdown for about 35 minutes Beaupre said.

Deputies are still seeking Fulk, who Beaupre described as a white male, 5'10", 180 lbs., with brown hair and no facial hair.
