LIKE OLD TIMES: Methodist circuit rider Pastor Dave Rieck of Durham ministers to the congregation of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Anderson Saturday during the 150th anniversary celebration.
The Trinity United Methodist Church of Anderson celebrated it's 150th anniversary Sept. 18 to 20. The three-day celebration was attended by approximately 200 people throughout the weekend. Saturday, gospel singer Ricky Russ of Abeline, Texas spent the day performing at the celebration along with Circuit Rider Dave Rieck of Durham who shared scripture and lessons with members of the Methodist Church.
Historical displays were erected to share the church's history and what it has been through since it's conception in the mid-1800s. Special visitors at the event were the granddaughter and great-granddaughter of the first circuit rider John Milton Ward. The current pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church is Pauline Bowen of Shingletown.

This past weekend the Congregation of the Trinity United Methodist Church celebrated 150 years of caring in Shasta County. It was worth all the work the committee did so people could enjoy the history of the Church.
