After the Anderson Union High School centennial celebration, the committee met and found they still had about $15,000 left in their budget, so it will be donated to the high school.
"It's a huge boost for us," said AUHS Principal Scott Booth. "The committee worked very hard. They put on a golf tournament and had other fundraisers, then donated the cabinets and now we have additional funds left over from the centennial because of all the hard work the committee did. We are very blessed."
According to Booth, the committee put in many hours and put on a great event. The School Site Committee comprised of teachers, parents, and students will decide where the money will have the most impact.
"I want the money to help all the students, not just athletics or drama, but everyone," said Booth.
