The League of Women Voters along with the Cottonwood Union School district will be holding a debate on Wednesday, October 7, at North Cottonwood Elementary at 6:30 pm.
This will be a structured debate with candidates receiving three minutes to introduce themselves and then each will answer questions from members of the community put on index cards and read aloud.
The debate is for the six candidates running for the Cottonwood Union School District board to express their ideas about the district. One of the topics expected to draw many questions is the budget and the state of the finances for within the district.
There are three incumbents running: Fred Lucero, Paul Walther, and James Seale; and three opponents Dave Wallace a Certified Public Accountant, Michelle Thomas a Relative Resource Navigator, and Scott Goldschmidt a Supervisor/Property Manager.
