Shannon Westmoreland and Whitley Gibson had identical scores coming out of last Thursday's golf match at Tierra Oaks.
"Both girl's improved their scores and shot identical 71's," said Anderson Girl's Golf Coach Seth Longnecker. "I am noticing that the girl's are making big strides getting off the tee box and hitting solid approach shots onto the green's."
According to Longnecker, both Westmoreland and Gibson agreed that they putted poorly and could have taken off one stroke per hole if they improve this skill, so much of the focus for practice will be on putting.
"As always the girls had big smiles after the match. Both girls are looking
forward to playing on our home course (Tucker Oaks) this next week and
they feel that with their course knowledge they can shoot their lowest
round of the year so far," said Longnecker.
