<B>Plant Sale</B> - Oct. 17, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Anderson Valley Garden Club is having a plant sale at the Factory Outlets. For more information, 378-2654.

Anderson Valley Garden Club will be meeting on October 9 at noon at the Community Center. The guest speaker will be Frank Tona, manager of Crown Camera, and he will be discussing close-up photography and lighting and design for a garden photography contest.

<B>Koi (fish) Auction -</B> Oct. 17, at 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at 19540 Broadhurst Rd., Cottonwood off Bowman Road. Shasta Koi & Water Garden Club members that have extra fish bring their fish to the auction location. Everyone is welcome to bid on Koi of all ages and colors. The auction has an Auctioneer knowledgeable with the various types of Koi and each bidder gets a plaque with a number on it just like in a real auction. <B>Fall Harvest Celebration</B> - Oct. 23, 3-7 p.m. at 3308 Main St. Cottonwood Creek Watershed Group's last farmer's market of the year is celebrated with North Star brewery, comic magician, and scarecrow making contest. <B>Guns 'n' Hoses Flag Football - </B>Oct. 24, 10:30 a.m. at Big League Dreams in Redding. Attendees encouraged to wear red to support the fire fighter team or blue for the law enforcement team. <B>3rd Annual North State Skate Series - </B>Oct. 10 at Anderson Skateboard Park. Cost for the event is $15.00 per site or $30.00 for the series with pre-registration.
