A free event featuring live musical entertainment, a beer garden by North Star Brewery and the Las Vegas Comedy Magic Entertainer Bryan Gilles will highlight a special Fall Harvest Celebration at the last Farmers Market and Artisan Fair of the season October 23rd from 3 -7pm at 3308 Main Street in downtown Cottonwood, across from Roger's Frosty.
Presented by Cottonwood Creek Watershed Group , local farm fresh produce, horse drawn wagon rides by Dove Hollow Farms, artisans, crafters and other booths will also be there. Other festivities include children's games and a children's craft booth. Hot foods booths with hamburgers, hot dogs, sodas and more will also be available.
The festival will also present a scarecrow contest. There is no entry fee. The scarecrow contest exhibit area is family friendly. Scarecrows should be whimsical, humorous, mischievous or lovable and not frightening.Scary monsters, violent, gruesome, or bloody entries will be disqualified. Each person, family or group may only submit one entry. There will be two categories: one for those 14 and under, and one for adults. Voting will be done by the events attendees. A canned food drive will also be occurring at CCWG's booth during the event. For each can of food donated, a raffle ticket will be given to the person, maximum of 5 tickets awarded. The food donated during the event will help kick off the Cottonwood Creek Food Bank which will be operated by CCWG at their office location.
