Laws: A resounding ‘No' on amnesty

That is the opinion of the majority of concerned citizens of the United States to the proposal that automatic citizenship be granted to illegal immigrants.

These people break our laws with impunity and expect to be treated as citizens. They use our schools, medicine, goods and the services they obtain without responsibility or payment.

It has become obvious that Mexican drug cartels have moved into this country as witnessed by the many drug carriers coming over the border, moving on our highways, into our cities, and the many huge marijuana plantations planted and growing in our nearby national forests.

Our prisons have huge populations of Mexicans and other Latinos in prisons, which cost us, I heard on a recent radio report, some multiple billions of dollars a year to maintain.

Additionally, there is the harm and chaos they cause with their marijuana growing, drug dealing, gangs and other lawlessness.

It becomes obvious from their vociferous protests against being sent home that the illegal immigrant's loyalty lies with Mexicans and against the United States, its laws and citizens.

Our own government betrays us by not enforcing our laws.

There are good, honest Mexicans, of course, who cared enough to come to the U.S. legally, paying their way, learning our language to become good citizens.

Most immigrants are unskilled workers who willingly take any job at low pay.

It was said, "They only take jobs Americans won't do."

This is not true.

For years American families harvested farm crops and did the unskilled labor until the flood of invading illegals took those jobs at low pay. We still have many unskilled workers.

Now, the illegal Mexicans are taking better jobs, too.

Today, millions of employed illegal immigrant workers send their earnings to Mexico while millions of unemployed American citizens suffer the loss of homes, livelihood and hope.

Meanwhile, misguided, corrupt United States politicians — including the President, Senators and Congressmen — ignore Constitutional laws that protect the rights of the United States and its citizens from lawless invaders.
