Greg Grandell, the varsity football coach at West Valley, is looking towards a positive season for the Eagles, but is not ready to make a prediction on how the season will go.

"The boys are a hard working, unselfish group. They enjoy practicing and should do good in this seasons games," said Coach Grandell.

Senior players that look to be this season's standouts are Tyler Low, Dillon Mumford, Mitch Kenyon, and Josh Wilhelm.

The West Valley Eagles play a tough schedule with their first game against Shasta High School on Friday Sept. 3 at West Valley.

"I feel like we are progressing well, but we still have some things to work on," said Grandell. "You can't really make a prediction, it's football."
