Redding is in the center of some of the best fly-fishing in Northern California. In order to create more awareness of the sport and the great fly fishing opportunities available in our area, the Shasta Trinity Fly Fishers are holding a free Fly Fishing Fair & Swap and Sell at the Caldwell Park Pavilion area on Saturday, Oct. 2 from 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
The event will include all aspects of fly-fishing — from fly-casting demonstrations and lessons to fly tying.
Displays at the event, will include local guide services, fly fishing gear, local fishing lodges, artwork, conservation, fishing entomology and much, much more.
A major attraction will be the fly-fishing swap and sell display featuring rods, reels, fly fishing gear and accessories for sale and/or trade.
The swap and sell is open to anyone wishing to participate, but is limited to fly fishing items only.
The entire event is free and is intended to promote of fly-fishing in our area and encourage interested individuals or families to learn more about the enjoyment that is derived from this sport
