Cubs unable to hold off Corning

RUNNING AWAY: A Lady Eagle and a Lady Falcon battle it out for the ball. Central Valley tried to score several times, but were unsuccessful. West Valley won 8-0.

Anderson boys soccer had a difficult time on the road against Corning.

The Cubs were kept scoreless by a dominating Cardinals team who was able to score eight times. The Cubs are 1-4 in the Northern Athletic League and are hoping to snap their current losing streak with a victory against West Valley.

WVHS 8, CVHS 0

The Eagles played against the rival Falcons, and were able to dominate them the entire match.

In the first half West Valley (5-1 NAL) was able to score six goals, and in the second they scored two more. With their strong defensive skills, they were able to keep Central Valley away from the net all night.

Anderson 6, Corning 2

The Anderson girls were able to hold off Corning, easily taking the match.

The Lady Cubs kept the Cardinals to one goal in both the first and second halves, while scoring three goals per half themselves.

Anderson (is hoping for a good match against West Valley.

Much like the boys game against the Falcons, the Lady Eagles were also able to dominate their match against the Falcons.

Controlling the ball all night, West Valley (5-1 NAL) connected with the goal eight times, and managed to maneuver Central Valley away from their goal a few times.
