The Anderson girls played a tough game against West Valley, but were unable to rally back for the win. The Eagles dominated the match, winning 5-0.

The Lady Cubs had trouble in the first half. They were able to move the ball down the field, but had trouble against West Valley (6-1 NAL) who would steal it. By then of the half Anderson (2-4 NAL) was down 2-0.

The Lady Eagles then came out in the second half of the game strong and controlling. Though the Lady Cubs continued to fight against West Valley, the Lady Eagles scored three more goals to put the game to bed.

Taylor Lambert had three goals for West Valley, Aimee Miramontes and Ashton Williams both scored one a piece.

West Valley 5, Anderson 0

The boys soccer match up read much like the girls game. The Cubs struggled against West Valley stealing the ball and missed opportunities at the goal really cost Anderson.

Overall the Cubs (1-5 NAL) put up a fight until the bitter end against the Eagles, but West Valley (6-1 NAL) had too many tricks up their sleeve and kept Zach Golden, Anderson’s goalie, busy for most of the night.

Harold Stacey scored two goals for West Valley, while teammates Ray Close, Derek Nieves and Patrick Mueller each scored one goal.
