The Lady Cubs traveled to Oroville to play against Las Plumas in the first round of the Division I soccer playoffs. After tying the score at one and ending regulation, the sixth-seeded Anderson would lose in overtime 2-1 to the third-seeded Thunderbirds.
Yui Gabriele scored the only goal for the Lady Cubs. Las Plumas took on West Valley seeded second, on Tuesday at Redding Soccer Park.
For the Anderson boys soccer team, things didn't go as they had hoped.
The sixth-seeded Cubs traveled to Susanville to take on Lassen, seeded No. 3. In a close game, Anderson lost to the Grizzlies 2-1.
Lassen traveled to Redding Soccer Park on Tuesday to play West Valley.
