Anderson and West Valley girls hoops teams advance to quarterfinals

The West Valley girls basketball team came prepared last night in the first NSCIF Division IV playoff game to take on the Mount Shasta girls. Dominating early on in the game, the Lady Eagles were able to come away with a 55-36 win over the Bears.

Paige Adkins scored 12 points and Amy Westaby had 11. West Valley will play Lassen (No. 2) in Susanville on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Anderson 54, Wheatland 42

The Lady Cubs (No. 5) put away their Division IV playoff game against the Lady Pirates (No. 12). They will travel to Orland (No. 4) on Thursday with the game starting at 7 p.m.

Megan Leitem had 13 points, Cheridan Hawkins put up 10 points, and Emma Peters scored nine.
