The sounds of children laughing as they play games can be heard all around the Scout Hall at Anderson River Park. The "Summer of Fun" camp offered by Anderson Parks and Recreation is giving local children the opportunity to play, make new friends, and enjoy a free lunch Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
According to Pam Lewis, the recreation supervisor for Anderson Parks and Recreation, if parents need to drop off their children early they can do so beginning at 7:15 a.m. and the cost is $10 per week or if parents need to, they can have their child there all day for $60 a week.
Lewis said that any child 18 and under is welcome and gets a free lunch The program is ongoing until July 30.
