Bocce ball, spaghetti and dancing returns to the Anderson River Park for another round of Paesano Days, an annual fund raiser by the Shasta Lodge of the Sons of Italy held at the gazebo in the Anderson River Park on Rupert Road. What began in the 1980s as a family picnic has expanded to include a variety of craft and food vendors and a two-day bocce ball tournament.
On Friday, Aug. 6, the spaghetti dinner opens from 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. costing $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12 years old. The Lou White Band will play for dancers from 6-10 p.m. while the bocce ball tournament also gets under way.
On Saturday, Aug. 7, games for children will be hosted from 12-2 p.m. with the bocce ball tournament continuing. The Sons of Italy will host a barbecue chicken dinner 5:30-7:30 p.m. with music and dancing from 6-10 p.m. Drawings for prizes begins at 7:30 p.m.
The bocce ball finals will wrap up on Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, contact Ken Carroll at 243-5527.
