ready, set, go!: In 2009, members of the community ran the 5k John Lipsey Memorial run. This year the race will take place on September 11.
The John Lipsey memorial 5k run will take place on September 11 at 8 a.m. at North Cottonwood School. This run takes place in honor of John who spent countless hours coaching runners in our community.
The cost is $18 for adults and $8 for children before the September 3 deadline. For entries received after September 3, the cost will be $20 for adults and $10 for children. There's a special rate of $45 for families of four or more runners.
This is a stroller and pet friendly event. Entry forms are available at Fleet Feet in Redding, www.sweatrc.com, and North, West and East Cottonwood schools.
