An Anderson woman was arrested by California Highway Patrol at 3:05 a.m. on June 8 following a vehicle collision due to driving under the influence of medicated drugs, according to Officer Ken Tidwell. Carol S. Marino, 51, of Anderson, was driving east on Dersch Road when she slowed to make a turn on Mossom Ln.
Driving her pickup at about 65 mph, Lauren D. Swanson, 48, of Anderson, rear-ended Marino's vehicle without slowing. Marino was transported to Mercy Medical Center for minor injuries.
The CHP investigation is ongoing. Swanson was being held in Shasta County Jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
