The Anderson City Council called a special meeting for June 29 at 7 p.m. to discuss in closed session a matter of "public employee discipline/dismissal/release" according to the council agenda. While not disclosing which or how many employees are under discussion, City Manager Dana Shigley confirmed that the matter is related to the police department.
The closed session meeting will entail mostly discussion, she said.
"I don't anticipate any action being taken," she said.
Currently two Anderson Police officers are on administrative leave, officers Bryan Benson and Matt Goodwin.

So, that's it, huh, Mayor Shigley?
Already have your mind made up, huh?
"NO expected action!", even BEFORE you've heard the report.
I guess that precludes ANY action AFTER you hear the report,
no matter what you hear.
What if it's a "Horror Show!"?
Talk about a "closed mind"!
Do we need NEW leadership?

EXCUSE ME! "City Manager" Shigley.
Given the possible dimensions of this SCANDAL,
Just WHY do you NOT "anticipate any action being taken"?
When will the CITIZENS know?
Business_as_usual, Manager Shigley?
