Donate a pint of blood Wednesday, March 3, between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Frontier Senior Center in Anderson and enjoy a free dinner provided by the Anderson Rotary Club.
Contact Jay Davis at 356-4042 to sign up for a blood donation time. For more information, contact BloodSource at 242-3005.
Donors must be in general good health, weigh 110 pounds or more and be at least 17 years old — or 16 with a completed parental consent form downloaded from www.bloodsource.org, said Dannielle Smith of BloodSource.
In addition to the free dinner from Anderson Rotary, the Round Table Pizza restaurants in Anderson and Redding are teaming up to offer a coupon good for free individual Penne Marinara with meatballs entree with any purchase from Round Table Pizza to donors who give a pint of blood in either March or April.
Blood donors help ensure that a safe and plentiful blood supply is available for accident victims, surgical patients and those who require blood transfusions for any reason, Smith said.
Established in 1948 as a not-for-profit blood bank, BloodSource provides life-saving services to millions of people in 25 counties throughout northern and central California.
