Enterprise and Shasta high schools met up with Anderson Union High School at Big League Dreams in Redding.
Big Blue played the Hornets first, hoping to put the game away, however, Enterprise was able to take an 11-5 victory over the Cubs.
Anderson tried to get something going offensivly, hoping thier defense would improve, but they were unsuccessful.
Dalton Gurney had two runs for the Cubs, including a homerun. Teo Flack, Trevor Scott, and Jeff Hotchkiss all scored one run apiece in the first game.
Next up for Big Blue was Shasta High School in their second game. The Cubs gave that game their all, but lost 14-4 to the Wolves.
Anderson led by one run after the first inning, but Shasta came back with seven runs in the second inning, and they kept adding runs from there.
Shawn Greene scored two runs for Anderson, one of those was a homerun. Cody Payne and Dalton Gurney each scored one run.
The young Cub team took the lessons learned from their first two games and traveled down to Hamilton City to take on the Braves.
The Cubs started behind Hamilton going down by one run at the start of the game. It wouldn't be until the fourth inning when Anderson would finally add three runs to their side of the board. They didn't stop adding to their lead until it was over.
Shawn Greene, Charles Edwards, and Ryan Metcalf all had two runs for Big Blue. Cody Payne, Casey Meyer, Trevor Scott, Garrett Greenhaw, Dalton Gurney, and Steven Webb all scored one run a piece.
Anderson traveled to Gridley on Tuesday to take on the Bulldogs.
The Cubs will travel south to Oroville to comepete in their tournment this weekend. Anderson is hoping for some strong play to help build momentum that they can carry into their season.
