The farmers' market in Cottonwood will open May 7 with salad greens, radishes and tomato plants for sale alongside a variety of crafts, according to Brynn Nolan, director of Cottonwood Creek Watershed District.
The district's certified farmers' market will open every Friday, 3-7 p.m. from May to October at the district office, now located at 3645 Main St., just north of the O.K. Corral.

Other products local products available at the event include Ono Wines, walnuts from Bianchi Orchards, soap and jewelry from Becky's Emporium, soy candles from Donna Blanchette and tamales from Esperanza's Tamales, Nolan said.
The market will also schedule a free craft activity for children on the first Friday of each month. On May 5, children can make a Mother's Day gift by painting a terra cotta pot with a seedling in it. The craft will be provided by ArtSmart of the Shasta Arts Council.
