Anderson police are searching for a burglar suspected of stealing televisions and other electronics from recreational vehicles at the Shasta County Fair grounds on Wednesday, May 26. A composite sketch of the suspect was completed by Shasta County Sheriff's Department on May 27.
Fair employees, spotting the man with stolen property, described him as a white male in his early 20s, five feet ten inches in height, thin build, blond hair with a crew cut wearing a gray tank top and faded jeans. The suspect wore a red or tan backpack on his back, according to Detective Robert Modin’s report.
The man was last seen running from Webster Drive through a field toward Third Street, according to Modin’s report.
Sergeant Steve Blunk suspects the same man could be responsible for burglary of RVs on May 19 in the 2100 block of North Barney Street and on May 1 in the 4000 block of Highway 273, both in Anderson.
In most cases, the burglar broke the locks off of the RVs, Blunk said.
Blunk added that castings of the suspect’s footprints were made on May 27 at the fairgrounds.
A request was made through Secret Witness to reward tipsters for providing information. To provide information, contact Modin at 378-6621.
