Anderson falls to Oroville 51-45 in home tourney

West Valley takes down Churchill County 65-29

After the opening day of the 53rd Anderson Invitational Tournament at Anderson High, Big Blue has moved to the losers side of the bracket after falling to Oroville.

It was a close game, with both the Cubs and Tigers going back and forth, however, Oroville would gain the lead in the fourth quarter and hold on for the win.

Garrett Greenhaw had 16 points and Jacob Booker finished with 10 for Anderson.

Adam Chase rounded up 15 points, Max Cordeiro put up 12 and John Goble chipped in with eight for Oroville.

Orland 61, Colfax 54

The Trojans came out strong against Colfax, and didn't let up in their victory over the Falcons.

Jesus Llamas led Orland with 19 points, teammate Andrew Hutchens came in a close second with 14 points.

Javone Bradford had 10 rebounds for the Trojans and Jud Sailsburg finished with seven rebounds and four assists.

Central Valley 66, Willits 54

The Falcons took control of the game to finish with a win.

Carlos Mancasola put up 29 points and Christian Spaschak had 11 points in the Central Valley victory.

West Valley 65, Churchill County (Nev.) 29

The Eagles came ready to play Thursday night, taking down Churchill County in an easy four quarters.

Hunter Dyche led the scoring for the Eagles with 18 points, Colton Strickland chipped in nine and Scott Ferris added eight.

Colfax vs. Willits 3:30 p.m.

Anderson vs. Churchill County 5:00 p.m.

Central Valley vs. Orland 6:30 p.m.

West Valley vs. Oroville 8:00 p.m.
