Gwen L. Oliver
Gwen L. Oliver was born on March 15, 1914, in Cottage Grove, Oregon, to Stanley and Mary Lou Martin. She was raised in Merrill, Oregon, and moved to Portland where she attended teacher’s college. She moved to Klamath Falls, Oregon, and was teaching music and elementary school there in 1937 when she went to visit her father in Bieber, California, where she met her future husband, Earl Oliver. They were married on June 10, 1938. In 1954 they moved to Anderson where she became a substitute teacher at the area elementary schools. There was a private family service. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite Arts or Education charity.
