Ferry’s Pharmacy offered their customers a free health screening.

According to Zach Nixon, tour manager for the Health Mart Healthy Living Tour, people were being screened for diabetes, glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure and A1C.

Nixon said he expected 30-40 people would be seen in the three-hour period the screening was going on.

The health screenings only took about 10 minutes and people were given gift bags with diabetes supplies and sponsor coupons.

Nixon said the Ferry’s Pharmacy is part of the Health Mart network, which means they can offer their customers free health screenings.

Nixon said there are approximately 90 stops on the tour.
