Leapin’ lizards! The timeless tale of Little Orphan Annie is being retold as a musical drama by University Preparatory School.
And the title role of Annie will be split between two talented young seventh-graders, Courtney Blanc and Skyler Leak, both 12 and from Redding.
Courtney is the daughter of Connie Blanc, owner of Anderson Florist & Gifts. Connie Blanc serves as the show’s publicity coordinator. The musical drama is directed by Romney Clements.
The show will be presented Friday and Saturday, Nov. 11-12 and Nov. 18-19 with 7 p.m. performances each night and a 2 p.m. matinee each Saturday, Nov. 12 and Nov. 19.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students. They are available at Anderson Florist & Gifts, 2820 Freeman St., Suite #1, in Anderson. For reservations or information, call (530)365-6161.
All performances will be in the David Marr Auditorium on the U Prep campus in Redding, the former site of Nova High School on Eureka Way, Connie Blanc said.
