Redding city council to approve Clarity

Clarity Entertainment recently had members of its creative team up from Sacramento to tour the Sharrah Dunlap Sawyer Civil Engineering building, the KMS building and Stillwater Business Park.

According to Chris Foxworthy, president of Clarity, he signed the purchase agreement for lots 12, 13, 14 and 15 at Stillwater Business Park on Jan. 5.

“Yes the PS&A has been signed by Clarity and we are in the process of readying all the paperwork to present to the city council for their consideration and action on January 17th!” said Patrick Keener, economic development liaison for the City of Redding. “We are pleased with the progress to date and the information shared by Clarity and look forward to our presentation on the 17th!”

“Pat Keener and John Troughman are the reason we are still here,” said Foxworthhy. “Mr. Keener has been beyond reproach. Mr. Keener has also been wonderful in his dealings with the municipalities.”

Foxworthy added that he is hammering out the final details on the contract for the SDS building with Greg Dunbar and that he is just entering into contract to buy the KMS building.

Foxworthy said that Steve and Don Gallino will be the contractors for the KMS remodel and that he has been working with architected Larry Hopson with the redesign as well.

Mitch Carley, creator of Duggy, flew into Redding to tour the buildings and lots Clarity is either purchasing or leasing.

Carley said that Duggy’s current home is Fargo, North Dakota but that the plane’s new home will be Redding in a special hanger being build at the airport.

According to Foxworthy, once the lease on the SDS building has been signed the animators and creative team working on Duggy will move in. Duggy is a yellow DC-3 airplane that teaches children how to follow their dreams. The Duggy Dream Team has three steps — dream it, team it and work it.
