Burnsini Vineyards in Cottonwood provides the backdrop for Cottonwood Community Library’s 3rd annual “Springtime in the Vineyard” fundraising dinner and auction set for Saturday, April 27.
No-host beverages and hors d’oeuvres will be offered at 5 p.m. as guests peruse silent auction items and other gift prizes on display. A steak dinner prepared by Vic Woolery of the Branding Iron Restaurant in Cottonwood will be served at 6:30 p.m., notes Gayle Harrington, director of library services.
While patrons are enjoying dessert donated by Cottonwood Eatery, auctioneer Bradd McDannold will do his best to entice the highest bids on live auction items beginning at 7:30 p.m., she said.
“If you have never seen Bradd conduct an auction, you are in for a treat. It will prove to be a show in itself!” Harrington said.
Tickets to the rain or shine event are $40 per person and Harrington hopes a lot of generous folks will come prepared for good food and fun along with their fundraising support.
“Springtime in the Vineyard is our largest fundraiser of the year,” said Harrington.
“We count on this event to meet our budgeted expenses for the year. Our fundraising committee has worked for months to gather a wide array of items” for silent or live auction, she noted.
Tickets are available in Cottonwood at the library, the Elegant Bean, Tri-Counties Bank and North Valley Bank.
In Red Bluff, tickets are on sale at California Kitchen Company and House of Design.
