Anderson Police sets fundraiser for new K-9

As a way to raise money for a new police dog the Anderson Police Department will be holding a spaghetti feed fundraiser at the VFW Hall in Anderson, July 13.

The event will include a cocktail hour, dinner, raffle, auction and door prizes. The cocktail hour starts at 6 p.m. and the dinner starts at 7 p.m. Tickets for the dinner are $10 and can be purchased at the event or ahead of time at the Anderson Police Department.

Some of the auction items include a hunting rifle package from Olde West, as well as complete AR-15 rifles, Officer Mike Hallagan said.

An additional separate raffle, with tickets $50 a piece, for an HK P2000 .40 caliber compact pistol is being held. The pistol is valued at approximately $1,100, Hallagan said. There are only 100 tickets being sold and they can be purchased ahead of time at the Anderson Police Department. You need not be present to win.

If you have any questions contact Mike Hallagan at 378-4610.
