Rabies, licensing clinics set

Haven Humane Society will host rabies vaccinations and dog licensing clinics in the South County at the following locations:

Happy Valley — May 14, 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m., licenses and rabies vaccinations available at the Happy Valley Fire Hall on Palm Avenue.

Anderson — May 23, 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m., licenses and rabies vaccinations available near the gazebo in Anderson River Park.

North Anderson — Nov. 14, 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m., licenses and rabies vaccinations available at Haven Humane Society, 7449 Eastside Road, off Highway 273. Rabies vaccinations are $6 with the purchase of a dog license. Cats may also receive a rabies vaccination for $6. Dogs must be on leashes and cats must be in carriers.

Dog owners with current rabies vaccination certificates are asked to bring them to clinics as the term of a license cannot extend past the expiration date of the rabies vaccine.
