Clover Fire Relief Mushball Tourney, Spaghetti Feed set for Saturday

Rain or shine, Happy Valley Little League will host a Mushball Tournament and Spaghetti Feed fundraiser at Happy Valley Elementary School, 17480 Palm Ave., from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, to benefit Clover Fire Relief efforts.

The Mushball Tournament is limited to 10 teams with each team paying an entry fee of $150. Players must be age 14 or older. Each team will play two games, organizers said.

Monday, Oct. 14, is the deadline for team registration.

To register, contact Brice at (530) 410-1232 or stop by Happy Valley Fire Station No. 1 at 17441 Palm Ave.

The Spaghetti Feed starts at 11 a.m. and food will be served until the mushball tournament ends.

Spaghetti Feed tickets are $10 per person. Along with spaghetti, patrons can fill up on salad and French bread.

Pre-event tickets are available at the Happy Valley Fire Station on Palm Avenue, Mary’s Pizza Shack in Anderson or Redding, and at Bonney’s Burgers in Happy Valley.

The event features prize drawings for gift baskets put together by students from Igo and Happy Valley Elementary School to benefit the families of students affected by the Clover Fire.

Every penny raised at the event will benefit Clover Fire victims, organizers said.

The event is co-sponsored by Mary’s Pizza Shack in Anderson and Redding.
