Jose Luis Melendez, Anderson High School
Jose is bi-lingual and “wants to understand everything,” said Carol Perea who nominated Melendez.
“He puts lots of time in on his studies and encourages his friends to do their homework and work hard in their classes,” said Perea. “He is a dedicated and hard working student and is an excellent role model,” she continued.
“Jose Luis is a living example of Ben Franklin’s quote ‘Well done is better than well said.’ He demonstrates modesty, yet is proud. He does what he says and is never boastful,” Perea added. This soccer-loving senior would like to go to college and study business while attaining his dream of becoming a professional soccer player.
