LIBRARY TO LEGION HALL: Eileen Edwards stands in front of the Cottonwood library located in the community hall. The building was eventually used as a VFW hall and currently serves as the meeting place for the American Legion at 3297 Chestnut St. in Cottonwood.

  • FIRST AND FOURTH LOCATIONS: Currently Melinda's Interior Design, the building at 20832 Front St. housed the Cottonwood Branch library once in 1950 when it was also Boone's Ice Cream Parlor. It was also housed the library from the mid-'70s to 1988.
  • SECOND: What was once a community hall and library during the 1950s, the building at 3297 Chestnut St. has become a VFW hall and is presently the home of the American Legion.
  • THIRD: For a few years in the early 1970s, the library was housed in the right side of this building occupying only half of the shorter building with the glass shop on the left. The building is currently the Wild West Trading Company, 2302 Front St.
  • FIFTH: The Cottonwood Community Library got its start in three apartments on the left side of this Victorian house on Main Street from 1996-2000.
  • SIXTH: The Cottonwood Community Library was housed at 3306 Main St. from 2000 until Aug. 4, 2007.
