The grave decoration was part of the 18th annual Wreaths Across America program, the third year that the local veterans cemetery has joined the national program.

More than 200 people, some relatives and others simply volunteers, decorated more than 900 graves locally as part of the national Wreaths Across America program. In total, more than 151,000 wreaths were placed at 400 state and national cemeteries in the United States and 24 national cemeteries located on foreign soil.
