Each July 3, Anderson Rotary Club invites local, state and national dignitaries to an Independence Day barbecue, held at the Shasta District Fair grounds in Anderson in conjunction with the community's homegrown fireworks display.
This year, the Rotarians were joined by U.S. Representative Wally Herger, his wife Pam, and daughter Jamie; California State Assemblyman Jim Nielsen and former State Assemblyman Doug LaMalfa, among others.
