  • The freshman float makes it way around West Valley's track before the varsity game on Oct. 2. The theme of their float was SAW inspired by the series of films. The class of 2013 walked away with fourth place in the homecoming float competition, but still had a well crafted float.
  • The sophomore class created a float inspired by King Kong. The school mascot was also apart of the float and was taking on the giant gorilla as the float made its way around West Valley's track on Oct. 2 before the varsity game. The class of 2012 received second place for their efforts.
  • The junior class created a float with Disney's Adventure Peter Pan in mind. The float traveled around West Valley's track with a group of 'pirates' around it before the varsity game Oct. 2.
  • The junior class of 2011 took first place in the 2009 homecoming float competition at West Valley as a reward for all their hard work.
  • The class of 2010 had a Hollywood themed float. Students on the float threw candy to the crowd as it made its way around West Valley's track on Oct. 2 before the varsity homecoming game. The seniors were rewarded third place for their efforts.
  • The Homecoming King arrived in style on the back of a '79 Suzuki. Kyle Marlatt was voted West Valley's 2009 Homecoming King and stood on the football field at half time awaiting the Homecoming Queen nominees and the announcement of his queen.
  • Molly Booth was the first Homecoming Queen nominee to be escorted by her father and step-father to the middle of the football field to await the announcement of West Valley's 2009 queen.
  • Hope Jordan was the second Homecoming Queen nominee to arrive and was escorted by her father to the middle of the football field to await the announcement of West Valley's 2009 queen.
  • Taylor Lambert arrived fourth in the line of Homecoming Queen nominees and was escorted by her father to the middle of the football field to await the announcement of West Valley's 2009 queen.
  • Morgan McCarley was West Valley's 2008 Homecoming Queen and graduated in '09, she came up from San Fransisco where she is studying cosmetology to present the crown to the 2009 Homecoming Queen.
